Friends.Help with the converter, I bought a generator without a converter,I know that it works at a frequency of 30 kHz, a power of 750 watts. Generator Dukane IQ Auto-Plus 30AT075-2F . Can someone tell me what brand I need to buy a converter?
I have a question related to the mounting of Sonotrodes.
From the reading I've done at this point from the material on this site, as well as other sources, it seems as though the sonotrode, if designed appropriately with a flange at the nodal point, can be mounted using a split flange style design.
hi chris, from ZVEI hanbook stated that only couples of type of material suitable to make sonorode such as titanium alloy, aluninium alloy etc..
my question is
1) if i want to fabricate a new sonotrode to replace for an existing sonotrode which being made by titanium alloy), is it possible i use other material for exam[le aluminium alloy ( as listed in handbook) to replace titanium alloy?
2) are we able to get the desire frequency and same size of sonotrode if we use different material i.e. titanium alloy compare to aluminium alloy?
Hello,
I have doubt regarding the power calculation for liquid processing. Kindly clarify, all ultrasonic generator manufacturer are telling the power in term of watts. eg 1000 w, 1500 w etc. Can you tell me how to calculate power delievered by probe sonicator into the liquid?
As per my knowledge we can calculate power delievered from frequency and amplitude.
Work done by sonicator in watt = work done in N * distance;
whereas distance is nothing but frequency * amplitude ( meter / second)
Perhaps my questions are so silly that you haven't replied yet. I am Mechanical engineer & would like to develop this machine indigineously hence asked for your advice.
I am currently working on a project which has requirement of a Ultrasonic cleaning machine. After seeing the machine we i mean my project team have decided to develop & manufacture that machine by our own & not buying from some other supplier.
Will it be possible for you to advise us so that we conclude that machine. ?
We have decided a time frame of around 4 months for this project.
Our parts are of around 50mm X 50mm X 50mm size. small automotive press parts. Material of the part is En-39, mild low carbon steels etc. We want to remove oil, dust from those parts. Production requirement is around 500 nos per day.
Also i have couple of questions with regard to Ultrasonic cleaner
1. How to decide which frequency is best for any application like for above requirement ?
2. How to calculate power ?
3. How to decide tank dimensions & sizes?
4. How to decide the location of cleaning transducers?
5. How to decide on no of transducers?
6. Is it better to buy Ultrasonic generator from outside ? What information we should share to our vendor in case of outsourcing ? What will be requirements?
Hi there,
I am looking at buying a block of Ti-6-4 titanium for a 9.5" long x 5" high x 1.7" thick horn radiused down to .945" thick at the face .Now my concern is the block I found (good price) has the grain running perpindicular to the weld face, is this a concern?
We have been using U/S welding to join top and bottom housings of Adaptors.
The Raw material of plastic is ABS or Cycolac.
The stress cracks are developing over a period of time say 5 to 10days after the U/S welding.
We normally do a Chemical test to determine the stress , by immersing the welded part in Actic Acid glacial and pass through running watter for 30 sec.
However in our production site we could not identify the stress cracks and invariably the cracks are developing at the customer end.
